THE PROPERTY

WindCrest consists of over 450 acres of mountain property, of which 120 acres are currently in development in Phase I. Home sites range in size from .5 acres to 2.5 acres. Of the original offering of 40 home sites, 30 are currently available. (Refer to site plan) WindCrest offers home sites situation on high open meadows, secluded wooded areas, and by rushing streams. Underground utilities (electricity, telephone and cable TV) are installed and available to each home site. Lying adjacent to the Appalachian Trail, and surrounded by National Forest Service Lands, WindCrest will be perpetually protected from encroachment of other developments.

Security at WindCrest is provided by a single entrance to the property and an owner-controlled electronic gate.

In our planning, we have prioritized miles of interior walking trails and picnic sites, that will remain wooded and pristine. The architectural style endorsed at WindCrest can best be described as indigenous southern mountain design. This translates to the design of homes and structures in response to such factors as culture, climate, topography, and ecology. Examples: Post and Beam/Timber Frame,
Whole Log, Stone, Rustic Craftsman, and "Parkitecture." Characteristics are steep roofs, structural timbers, prominent dormers, porches with fireplaces, double hung windows, and natural stone work. All home plans are approved by the developer.
